Regulations require that all sunscreen formulas undergo standardised tests to prove their effectiveness against ultraviolet rays. Similarly, skin lightening and tanning factors can also be tested. Our tests will give you the peace of mind that your skincare products comply with the right standards for products sold in Australia, New Zealand and international markets.
During our in vivo SPF testing – that follows internationally agreed-upon ISO standards – we compare ultraviolet radiation (UVR) that causes skin redness with and without an application of sunscreen.
Our in vitro SPF evaluation includes testing for the recovery speed of the redness produced on an artificial test surface by a UV sun simulator. We further analyse the UVR passing through the sunscreen film.
Our tolerability testing includes tolerance in use, hypo allergenicity, photo testing and repeated insult patch testing and irritation capacity of constituents.
Besides product testing, at Beautiful Solutions, we bring the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand the world’s first microbiome-friendly quality assurance seal.
The skin’s microbiome hosts microorganisms – such as mites, viruses, fungi, and bacteria. Healthy skin relies on a healthy microbiome that strengthens the immune system to protect against pathogens.
The European certification body MyMicrobiome will give the green light that the tested and verified personal care products and cosmetics do not disrupt microbial diversity or skin balance. At their labs in Germany, they test the microbiome quality in products for the skin, scalp, feet, gut, mouth, and nose, among others. This independent control body meticulously analyses product impact on the skin’s microbiome, which is why we include this certification in our testing process.
Many cosmetic and skincare products contain preservatives and chemicals that can harm your skin and system. With our sunscreen SPF testing and Microbiome-friendly Certification, your clients will know that your product is biome friendly and safe for use on the skin. The microbiome is increasingly in the focus of consumers. With more than 300 products tested globally, “Microbiome-friendly” seal of quality is a MUST HAVE for products in the US and European countries, and it is becoming increasingly popular in Australia and New Zealand!
